VAV without damper

Post by junaidbinnaseer »

I want to model a VAV BOX with damper only for a project. The VAV is controlled through modulating damper which receives signal from room air temperature.

Its not a PFP type VAV box, its only a VAV box with a blade in it. What is the right component to be used to model it?

You won't use a component to model a VAV box with only a damper in it. Instead, you'll have a flow controller in your ApHVAC network. It will sense space temperature and vary the flow rate accordingly.

The fan component in your model will meter the energy used at varying flow rates.
