Does anybody know how to construct a flat roof.

Do we just use extruded shape??

If you use draw prism then the top surface of the space will be considered a flat roof.

If there is a space above it then the software will automatically consider it internal and a floor/ceiling construction will be assigned when you enter the thermal applications.

Hi Terence,

Thanks for that, Following on from this:-

How do i do a slopping flat roof, is it the same, draw a prism and elevate one side?

Quickest way it to use 'Generate roof for selected spaces', that will let you define the slope and the overhang of the roof (if you have one).

If you want to be more precise then switch to front view and use Draw extruded shape. Another method is to use Draw Prism so you have a block and then use the Edit tools to cut away the section you don't want, leaving a slope. All of these can be shown to you in the ModelIT training sessions.

I have managed to draw a prism and trim it to the correct geometry.

But when i view it from the side i cannot put a slope on it with the edit tool.

What am i doing wrong!!!
