External area in BRUKL Report

Post by abbie94 »

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about how ies calculated the external area of a building.

I seem to be getting higher than expected and cant seam to figure out why. :?

Iv looked in the report generator and selected external areas and they don't add up to the external area i'm getting in my BRUKL report.

Any tips or advice is much appreciated!

Thanks

Sorry, I didn't see this on the forum too!

The iSBEM user guide contains specific guidance on modelling roofs, unconditioned plant rooms and indirectly heated spaces such as corridors and stores.

If you get that right then the external area reported on the BRUKL should be correct (for your SBEM model).
