Stairs and Lift shafts

Hey Guys,

In regards to Stairs and lifts shafts, is it better to model the stairs as one zone from top to bottom and the same with the lift as I have ADVs on the roof to open when the temperature limit is exceeded, so the second part to my question is it better to leave it as floor by floor or connect without partitions as I want to also use Marco flow on the building or will connecting the spaces have an effect on the overall gains/losses for that space?

Little rusty on the software as I haven't used it since university so any input would be of great help
