Building template manager
Building template manager
Hello, I cannot figure out how to use multiple building templates within one building. Assume block of flats, each flat has different rooms with different heat gains and temperature set points. I would like to use one template to each room, say all kitchens in all flats would have one template, all bathrooms other etc. What is the best way to assign such template to room? Thanks, Pat.

Hi Pat
If you have set up your thermal templates in the BTM then go into Apache and select all rooms in your model. Next select Tabular Room Data and then the General Tab. You will be able to change the Thermal Template here for each room. You can multi-select and apply the same template to multiple rooms in a couple of clicks.

Re: Building template manager
Once you have the templates defined you need to assign them in Apache.

What I would do is:
a) Create your templates
b) Create a room grouping scheme called for sake of argument "activity"
c) Create room groups within that scheme called "k*****n", "bathroom", etc..
d) Assign the appropriate rooms to those room groups
e) for each group: select the group (in browser) then assign the template (click button on toolbar)
job done.
