Changing height of a large model

Post by mcj »

Hi all

I have built a large model about 500 ish zones. Need to move the floor heights so that some of it is under ground. I have tried the edit height command when selecting the whole building but doesn't seem to like it , saying that zones are intersecting. I have also tried to move it floor by floor but again it is proving slow and keep stating intersecting zones, but surely there has to be as easier way?

Thanks

Hi,

Could the intersections be there already? i.e. before you move it?

Try creating a model report via settings>model... (you need to turn the intersection check on as it is off by default)

Hi,

I have rechecked the intersecting spaces and everything is ok.

I have decided to leave the model where it is and changes the adjacencies of the relevant spaces , to an external condition of 'constant 10' as I have read in another post.

No doubt, I will have to move floors up or down again, so it would still be good to know for future reference.

Thanks

J
