Hello,
I am modeling a building in Mexico that has a hot climate. When I increase the percentage of glazing, the cooling load decreases. Thus, my cooling load is higher at 0% glazing than with 100% glazing. Obviously this is not correct given the local climate. Does anyone have an idea as to why I am receiving this result?
Thanks in advance!
Nate
Cooling load decreases with higher WWR in hot climate
Re: Cooling load decreases with higher WWR in hot climate
Hi Nate,
Very difficult to comment on this one with little detail of the model. Perhaps worth looking at your results in a little more detail using VistaPro to identify the times when this cooling load is varying outwith expectation and that may help to troubleshoot the model. May be as result of some incorrect controls implemented in the conditioning or perhaps the shading strategy giving an unexpected impact, effects of the fabric or glazing type in use not quite as specified?
