Metering and Out of Range Values

Post by RossThompson87 »

A couple of questions on 'metering' and 'out of range' values.

In IES you specify this for each HVAC system (and lighting). Does this mean a system has to individually sub metered?
i.e. One meter per air handling unit?

Or would a single heat meter for all CT heating circuits count?

Can you apply the 5% benefit to domestic hot water?

According the EPC conventions, point of use hot water should be entered with 100% efficiency? If this is being metered and monitored can it be pushed up 105%?

I often use the 'not set' system type for DHW. So can the figures be manually adjusted?
Here delivery efficiency is handled by a separate calculation (circulation and storage loss) so would the improvement go on the generator efficiency or delivery efficiency if it applies?

Any help would be appreciated
