IES and Revit Interface

IES's specially developed Revit plug-in Toolbar allows Revit Architecture and MEP users to import their 3D BIM model into IES's software and undertake sustainable performance analysis.

IES and Revit Interface

Post by Nicko11 »

Hi,

I am just about to start looking at the IES and Revit interface with a view to incorporating the capability between the software into a BIM strategy. As a starting point I thought it might be good to post on the forum for advice and experience of existing REVIT/IES users, therefore I have the following questions:

1. Experiences and advantage of using the IES plugin within Revit software?

2. At which point is it best to move away from item 1 to export the Revit information into IES?

3. Issues with exporting from Revit into IES and how these are overcome?

4. Any recommended reading material on best practice and relevant procedures?

Any guidance is much appreciated and thank you for the contribution in advance.

Hi there,

Jean Carriere has posted an excellent entry into the IES VE Users group on LinkedIn entitled: "A step by step guide for seamlessly integrating Revit models in IES VE".
