PIN number in valid

Hi Admin,

I am using the VE for engineer version of the software. I requested the key online and received it promptly from IES. when I am importing the key if giving the follwoing error.

WARNING: the PIN number: XXXXXXXXXX1 stored in the keys.txt at "C:\Users\XXXXX\Downloads" is not valid for that folder. The PIN number for the specified location is XXXXXXXXXX2. NOTE: you cannot copy keys files from one location to another. Each new keys folder requires a new keys license file. Please contact IES if you require assistance.

I guess this forum is a place to seek assistance.

also, I tried reinstalling the software but it doesn't work. Also, the software doesn't recognize user information.

Hi,

The reason the VE is displaying that error is because your license folder path as been changed. To gain access to your licenses you will need to reset your license folder path back to the standalone location. To do this, first you will need to have hidden files and folders visible on your computer (you can do this via Control Panel >>> Appearance and Personalization >>> Folder Options).

Once hidden files and folders are visible, please load the VE and go to Help >>> Troubleshooting >>> Set License Folder.

If you then browse to C:\ProgramData\ies\apps\Keys and click "OK", you will gain access to your licenses once again.
