Internal Partitions; Which side is outside/inside?

Post by Richard Tibenham »

When modelling internal partitions within the Project Construction wizard, you are able to enter data including the emissivity and solar absorptance for the material on the Outside and Inside.

Likewise, when modelling the material composition, the order of materials is from the Outside to Inside.

When modelling an external wall, it is clear what side the outside/inside is, but how is this defined with an internal wall where both sides are inside?

Is outside/inside defined depending from which room the material is assigned?

I think that is exactly how it works.

typically internal partitions have the same layer on both sides, if this is not the case then yes you would want to define the material order as per zone assigned
