Import Model with Revit Architecture

IES's specially developed Revit plug-in Toolbar allows Revit Architecture and MEP users to import their 3D BIM model into IES's software and undertake sustainable performance analysis.

Import Model with Revit Architecture

Post by nmurp »

Hi,

I'm a relevantly new user of IES and have been getting to used to the plug-in for Revit.
Something I've noticed is that when I click on 'Import Model' I don't get the option to set the model properties as I have been shown through the user guides but rather just recieve the report. I know I can export the model as a gbxml file anyway and import it into the VE but feel like I'm missing out on customising the constructions etc. of each room.

Firstly, why is it that I'm not getting this option? I think it might be only be available with Revit MEP, am I right?
Secondly, how do I work around this so that this information isn't missed when running the analysis.

Any help you could give would be great

Hi,

I have the same problem and i'm using Revit MEP to transfer my model via gbXML.
So it's not a Revit Architecture problem...
If you' have already got an answer, i'd be glad to get it.
