Hi,
I'm trying to generate an image in Model viewer where by the model colours are allocated based on the assigned construction materials, with a key in the corner to indicate what is what.
How might I go about doing this? I know it can be down, but don't seem to be able to find anything in the users manuals under layers or anything related.
Thanks.

Re: Display in Model Viewer Based on Materials
Hi R Tibenham.
To view the constructions assigned to your model in Model Viewer II you want to use the Input Data Visualisation feature.
This can be found within several modules of the VE (for example in the Apache, VE Compliance and Title 24 views).

First open the VE and enter Apache view.
You will find the 'Input Data Visualisation (Model Viewer II)' feature on the view toolbar. It's the last button.
Select all the rooms you are interested in and the button will 'light up'.
Click the button to bring up the IDV dialog.
From there you can select the variable you're interested in (e.g. Constructions > Construction).
Choose the others settings you want to use and click 'Apply'.
Model Viewer II will then open showing exactly what you want.
More information can be found in the 'Model Viewer II (in Apache)' manual here.
I hope this helps.
Regards,
John
