'U' Value

Post by PCC Engineer »

While performing the VE-Compliance Part L2 (2013) SBEM Compliance, I have an anomaly with the 'U' value of the personnel doors. The door has been constructed to a 'U' value of 1.2 W/m²,K and has been assigned to all doors in the Project.

However, the compliance output document (section 2.a) is showing a 'U' value failure, with a value for the doors of 3.01 W/m²,K.

But to contradicts this, at the end of the output document (Key Features Section) the door 'U' value is shown as 1.2 W/m²,K.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Hard to guess this one but we do have an article on our Knowledge Base that may give an explanation?

http://www.iesve.com/support/knowledgebase/faq/2484

The SBEM BRUKL will also give a reference of where this value occurs in the Criterion 2 check which you can track down by locating your SBEM input file (project.inp file that is located in the project regs folder and can be opened using notepad), this will lead you to the room/surface where this value is occurring in the model.
