Dear all,
we are approaching a new project in Italy, C&S 2009 protocol, in which we will install a VRF system. We have to model the building in order to evaluate EAp1 and EAc1 and it could be very very useful to have a simplify tool like the Daikin plugin to simulate the system without use the ApacheHVAC module. My question is, Daikin plugin could be used for Ashrae 90.1 calculations and with the Navigator working parallely on a baseline with ApacheHVAC?
Thank you,
Daikin plugin for Ashrae 90.1
Re: Daikin plugin for Ashrae 90.1
Hi,
We have been working with Daikin in North America to create a plug-in for system sizing compatible with ApacheHVAC, would certainly be worthwhile looking into this for your energy modelling and siszing.
Regards the ASHRAE 90.1 PRM Navigator and modelling then I'm afraid you do have to use ApacehHVAC and this isn't something you can get past for baseline or proposed systems if you are following our workflow and methodology

Re: Daikin plugin for Ashrae 90.1
PCully, thank you for your advice.
So, for a LEED procedure, I cannot use both Daikin plugin and ApacheHVAC module? I cannot "export" Daikin parameters and "import" them into a generic ApacheHVAC configuration? It could be a tremendous time saving approach insted of modelling from beginning the VRF system equivalent inside ApacheHVAC.
thanks,
