Simulex: can you make a video?

Post by ZapBran »

Hi,

Is there a built in video creator in Simulex? :?:

I've been using a screen capture to record an AVI then import this into WIndows movie maker to reduce the size of the video (because the way I'ev got it set up the AVIs are huge). It would be easier for me if I could just hit a button in simulex and let it do all the work for me. Not that I can find a button (or any buttons come to think of it... me smells another post...).

Hi Zap,

Yes, there's a built-in video creator in Simulex. Here's how to use it.

Press the F9 function key during simulation playback and Simulex will record an AVI video of the simulation.
F9: Start recording... press it again that is when you want to end the recording.

The best thing to do is record the simulation then play it back and pause (F8) when you want to start the video then F8 again to play back the slx file...when you want to stop recording then press F9 again and the make video box pops up.

Hope that's clear enough.
David.
