double window

Post by la_bets »

Hi,
I am trying to model a store located in a pretty old building and I need to figure out how to model double windows. By double windows I mean two windows (frame+single glazing) parallel to each other. I imagine the possibilities are either to create a construction that cointains both windows or to model the cavity inbetween as a separate zone. Does anybody have any suggestion on the best way to do that?

Thank you
Bets

My suggestion is to neglect the cavity in between and treat it as a single unit. Unless you are trying to examine the flow inside the window unit in CFD, I don't know what re-creating the double window will reveal in terms of useful information.
