Hi
Is there a way of showing shading within a room? I have created model with external shading and it illustrates shading on external facade but i need also need to understand solar penetration into space. I would like to see plan of room and trace solar penteration across floor over course of one day.
Also, I have created balcony as room type 'local shade'. The balcony has a glazed balustrade. If I run FlucsDL for the room with the balcony will it pick up the shading provided by solid elements of balcony (overhang) and light emitted through open and glazed parts of balcony?
Thanks in advance.
internal solar penetration
Re: internal solar penetration
Hi Georger
I don't think there is a way to see internal shading in anything other than radiance?
Sketchup would be a lot easier than ies when study internal shading. That would be my suggestion.
Regarding the glazing, I am waiting for someone to reply to a similar question about editting transmittance of shading elements.
good luck
