How to Model Task Lights?
How to Model Task Lights?
Hi does anyone know how, and where, to Model Task Lights? I can't see anywhere to specify task vs ambient lighting in the Building Template manger: Electric Lighting Tab or in Apache . Thanks!
Re: How to Model Task Lights?
Hi,
For the purposes of thermal/energy analyses you only need to specify lighting as an internal gain so that it is represented by Power Consumption and Gain. If you need to represent different light sources (e.g. on different profiles) then just add multiple light gains.
You can do this in the thermal template (template manager >> thermal conditions >> Internal gains tab) or in room data in apache (query room >> internal gains).
Hope this clarifies but if I've missed your point let me know

If there are different artificial light intensity, two space should be used instead of one.
Re: How to Model Task Lights?
To be fair this is a tricky one... when does the task kick in? That's the real question... 'When are random events going to happen?'.
Take a sensible estimation and set your control schedule to be represented by that.
