Hi,
It's quite easy when you know how
Components must be associated with a room int he model so first you have to select a room, go down a level of decomposition (blue down arrow), make sure you are in plan view, change from Surface mode to Component mode (the dropdown beside the storey selection dropdown).
Now you will find the Place Component dialog is on the screen so you can select the component you want to place.
Finally click the Place Component button (tot he right of the place openings buttons) and click anywhere in the model to place the component.
I'm sure this is also covered in the ModelIT training.

Re: 1st time
Thanks, it works.
One more question please : In model IT, I can attach dxf file like a reference, but in component, when I attach dxf the dxf file only showed in model IT, not in component editor
. I still use IES 5.9.2.
Is there a small software for converting license key from 5.9.2 to 6.x.x ?

Hi,
It is not possible to attach a DXF in Component Modeller yet but we do intend to allow this functionality in a future version of <VE>.
If you would like to upgrade to <VE> 6 then you will need to install <VE> 6, remove your <VE> 5.9 keys and send the uninstall PIN to keys@iesve.com. Then request the <VE> 6 keys.
Note: If you wish to continue running <VE> 5.9 using the <VE> 6 keys then we can send you an app to modify your <VE> 5.9 installation, request this when you request your <VE> 6 license keys.
