Heating and cooling profiles

Post by NFox »

I'm in the building template manager, and want my room to be kept between 12 and 16 degrees Celcius; so I've set my heating and cooling set points to 12 and 16. My question is, do I need to create and apply heating and cooling profiles (ta<12 and ta>16 respectively) in addition to setting my simulation heating and cooling setpoints? Surely the two actions in this case would achieve the same aim, therefore if I have applied the two setpoints for heating and cooling, would it not be reasonable in this case to set my profiles for heating and cooling to "on continuously"?

I'd appreciate people's thoughts, cheers.

Hi,

Yeah that's a standard setup you have described. The profiles define when conditioning is available (not specifically when heating and cooling is on) and the set points define when the conditioning is applied as it is required.
