Adjacent condition

Post by brg »

HI

I have a domestic building and i want to offset the ground floor to an offset temperature of 10K with respect to the outside air.

According to the Apache manual, I should just edit the adjacent condition of the ground surface and set the corresponding offset temperature.

I tried doing that but each time the adjacent condition returns to Outside Air only.

Where am I going wrong?

Will really appreciate any help on this.

Regards

Hi,

How do you know that it is reverting to Outside Air only? The reason I ask is that if you are using the edit multiple adjacencies tool then the next time you use the tool it will default to "Outside Air" again, this tool is for assigning the Adj Con not for querying what is already set.

You can see what is set in any surface by selecting the room, go down through the levels of decomp until you reach that adjacency then click on the Query button on the apache toolbar and you should see what you currently have applied.

These settings are retained (have checked in <VE> v 6.0.6 and v6.1)

I see what you mean now. Previously I was not going all the way down to the last decomposition level.

Thank you very much Phil.

Cheers
