i was informed that to effectively model the daylighting illuminance, i need to run the suncast solar shading calculation. is that true?
thanks,

daylighting simulation
Re: daylighting simulation
Hi,
I don't think this is quite right. If you are studying illuminance using FlucsDL or Radiance then there is no requirement to run Suncast first.
If you are using the Radiance sensors to plug into Apache (e.g. for daylight controlled dimming) then yes you should also perform a solar shading calc in Suncast to make your results as accurate as possible.
