Hi everyone,
I am having problems calculating the effects of thermal gain from Suncast when I run ApacheSim. I performed suncast calculations after creating a room and ticked the box (ApacheSim) to include suncast, but there are no values from my solar gain and any effect on my cooling loads when i run my analysis in vista. My cooling loads are the same whether or not I tick the suncast box.
Is there anyone who had the same experience or have a solution? Greatly appreciate your assistance on this, thanks!
Regards, Kevin

Re: Thermal gain link to ApacheSim not working?
Hi,
This sounds quite odd. In the Vista results you can select any room and look at the solar gain for that room, check this looks reasonable.
Maybe it would be worthwhile for you to rerun the Suncast calculation? Make sure you are using an up to date shading file.
Some simple tests should show you that the suncast link to apachesim does have an effect and help you to spot the impact.
