Greyed Out

Post by bootsam »

Hi, New user. Struggling to forget hevacomp and move up to IES. Ive built a model, assigned constructions, assigned thermal templates, assigned location, assigned profiles. I move into apache to run some loads but the ashrae loads, apachesim and batch sim buttons are greyed out. Any ideas? I sat the online tutorial for apache sim but to be honest it left a lot to be desired. Sorry IES but thats just my impression. The modelit one was good as was the macroflo. But I seem to be lost in apache. Any help appreciated. thanks.

Hi ,
This is quite weird , i have never heard of this.
Well , If you have valid license for Apache then try to run IESFix.exe file from C:\Program Files\IES\VE 61\apps folder.
Just want to ask you , which version of IES <VE> you are using , if it is older one the please update it to the latest version & give a try. ;)
Thanks & Regards ,

H,

Just a follow up here this definitely sounds like you don't have the correct licenses for Apache Sim, Loads etc.

Check the Help menu >> License Control and click on Check Usage to see what licenses you have and if they are in use by one of your colleagues

Yes it was a license issue. Now resolved and working. :) Thanks.
