Ground Contact Walls

Post by siobhanmcvie »

I am looking at a building which is built into a hill so there are walls on each level which are in contact with the ground. What is the best way to model this using the new feature in the construction database, and what would typical inputs be for this? Using the "update from building geometry" only picks up the ground floor level.

Hi,

Not sure about typical values I'm afraid but the 'update from building geometry' picks up all levels below z=0 as drawn in ModelIT so you might need to adjust the level of your lowest floors. You have the option to manually edit these values as well.
