External walls disappearing?

Hi,

When I use 'Draw partitions' to split a large open plan office floor up into zones, several external walls disappear. Anyone know why this is and what may be done to stop it? Thanks.

HI,

I haven't seen this issue myself in the past. can you provide a bit more info on what you were doing when the external walls were removed (include as much info here as possible please)?

If I can reproduce then I can feed this back to the development team to get the partition tool improved.

Ive sent the .cab file to support. As soon as I get 10mins I shall uploads pics and descriptions of the process. Up to my neck at the moment. Incidentaly though, i saved a backup, deleted all rooms other than the ones i want to partition and then exported them as a gem file. I then opened a new file and imported the gem file. That partitioning then worked okay apart from one small area. I intend to then import this back into the main model, once i check it.

I will post asap to show what I mean.

This sounds familiar. I have had similar problems in the past. There used to be a problem that when rooms with windows were merged, the walls would disappear, but apparently that's fixed now.
Personally, I tear out so much hair everytime I use Model-IT, that I've barely got any left. It amazes me that such rudimentary bugs are still coming to light after so many years and revisions.

Oh yeah, and another great one is this - Model-IT lets you draw windows inside rooms, ie that are not even on walls ! Genius !!
