wooden Louvers

Could some one let me know how to create wooden Louvers on external wall?

I am wondering how the wall with Louvers can reflect on U value for Ex. wall.

Just draw a door on the wall and open it the % the louvres would open.

If I wanted to put a louvre in the roof that opened to provide ventilation once the space reaches a certain temperature.

So I would have to give the lourve a free area and a set point to open and close.

Also if I draw a door will this not cause problems with teh SBEM maximum U value if the lourve as a U-value say 3.0 for example.
