"Error: Too many points on percentage profiles"

Post by MahBumble »

I've been generating modulating APpro profiles with a resolution of 10min intervals.
When I run a single profile in a room, it seems to work fine, however, when I then try to run a lot of these profiles at once I get this error:

"Error: Too many points on percentage profiles"

Anyone else come across this error? Is there some maximum allowable number of profiles or points within a profile?

Thanks,
Tom

Had had a play around, and it seems the error message pops up even if I'm using none of my own profiles. Just the fact that they exist in the .PDB (day profiles) and .PRO (week & year profiles) files seems to generate this error. Anyone know of a limit to the number of profiles in a .PRO or .PDB file?

Cheers

Sorry for not commenting on this one sooner. I haven't seen this error message before but there are limits to how many profiles you can have and it does sound like your profiles will be pushing it as well.

First, see if you can cut down how many profiles you have in the project.
If that doesn't work then you might have to look at simplifying the profiles you have created a bit.

I seem to have got round this problem by splitting one project up into smaller projects. The error message stopped appearing when I took the number of profiles below 120 daily profiles and <16,000 lines in the '.PDB' file. Instead another error message has popped up.. I may be posting again shortly!

Just to confirm and close this topic - simulation will tend to fail with 'Error: Too many points on percentage profiles' when the APpro .pdb profiles are above 15,000 points or so.
