Hi,
I just started using IES several days ago. I would like assign an operable window for my model, however, there is only one type (External window opening) in the "possible replacement opening types" box. Can anyone tell me where can I import other opening types?
Thx a lot,
Angela
Assign Opening Types..
Re: Assign Opening Types..
Now... I know this is long gone but I guess there will be other new users who might run into this.
You need to add more opening types before they can be selected - a new project only has one default one. I think this is because IES dont want to pad out the project list with erroneous entries (cause there are no filters anywhere!!!
) but I dont really buy that... and they arent as shy about padding your database out when you try using the PRM module or Compliance or import from sketchup... anyway...
Just pop up the opening types database manager (what a mouthfull) and add a few opening types:
• Top-hung manual window
• Personnel Door
• Blah blah
You will then see them for selection in the drop list.
You will also need to set up control schedules/profiles in appro to control the window and how/when it opens.
Zap.
