Infiltration

Post by alan85 »

Hi!

Im doing an analysis on a model and im getting a very high energy consumption result. When i changed my infiltration value, ( 0,3 l/s, m2) to a lower it decreased alot.

I have gathered information were i wanna put in 0,3l/s, m2 but thats calculated for the facade. And if the IES calculations are based on, for example the volume, i need to recalculate.

My question is , does the infiltration calculate, on the facade, the Volume or area? etc.

Many Thanks

The l/(s.m2) input here refers to floor area, most inputs in <VE> (gains, air exchanges) are the same.

Check this in Vista by running a test sim then check Infiltration for a room (Settings menu gives the option to view Volume Flow results in l/s or ACH which you can use to quickly confirm the flow was calculated based on floor area for the room)
