Hi,
I guess you mean profiles for controlling window opening in MacroFlo. From the MacroFlo Opening Types user guide
http://www.iesve.com/downloads/help/The ... gTypes.pdf:
A percentage profile allowing the degree of window or door opening to be specified as a function of time. The profile may be selected from the list of Project Percentage Profiles defined in APpro. Subject to the Temperature Threshold control, the area of the opening will be varied by modulating the Openable Area with the Degree of Opening percentage profile. When the Degree of Opening profile is zero, or when the Threshold Temperature control Page 7 of 12
dictates that the window or door is closed, the opening will be treated as a crack.
So in summary if the profile is 1 (or above 0.5) the window is open and if it is 0 (below 0.5) the window is closed.
You can do some quick and simple tests using a one room model and in Vista check the window open area (opening level variable) or MacroFlo Ext Vent gain (room level variable).
If you don't see the window opening for an On Continuously profile then I suggest you review the opening type you have assigned - Openable Area is 0% by default.
