Assign profiles to rooms

Post by Powerenergie »

Hi,

I'm getting started in the brand new world of IES, but as I explore the program, some issues come to my mind. The one that's now is difficulting the development of my project is how to assign different profiles ( equipment, lighting and occupation) to different rooms! Right now I've created the profiles, but I can't figure out how to assign to the proper rooms, or how the program associate the profiles.
Can any one enlighten me?

Thank you!

Hi,

You can assign these profiles as "Variation Profile" to internal gains, do this initially via Building Template Manager but define room per room you may need to use Room Query or Edit Group Attributes on a thermal view (e.g. Apache).

I think you will find this tough starting from scratch and if you can get any training at all from IES I'd advise it http://www.iesve.com/TrainingUK/.

If you have a license for Gaia you will have Workflows at the left side of the VE workspace, these should help guide you through model set up and early analyses to get a better feel for using VE.
