Hi,

This was tightened up in 6.3, you should find on the system tab of Edit Group Attributes you can select any of the DCV options. After you have selected an option it will be applied to any rooms (for which it is applicable to have that option for that system type) and any rooms that it does not apply will have another option selected. We did it this way specifically to enable users to use EGA to set this and to allow for cases where the selected rooms do not all share the same vent mechanism.

In VE Compliance the options should be there in EGA or Room Data?

aargh tried again and I got it to disappear once but I'm not sure why - the good news is you're eyes are fine. I'll keep on this as i have something to work with now. Will post back if I track down a bug or solution here.

re-reading this the first thing that strikes me is we have slightly changed the mechanism to select the Mech Vent DCV options now. To reveal the Mech Vent options you have to first tick Mechanical Supply checkbox, this reflects the way it works in Room Data (except in EGA, Mech Supply checkbox is always displayed even when it is not applicable to certain rooms). When this is unticked on the EGA form you will find that the two Natural Ventilation options No demand controlled ventilation and Enhanced Ventilation are available.

That is if you can see the dropdown...

Just to try confirm here, it was working ok again in 6.4.0.5 but now you have installed 6.4.0.6 it's disappearing again? You haven't changed screen resolution or monitors or anything? It's down the bottom of the dialog and I wonder if it's not being drawn for some reason (can clearly see the space is there).
If you try tick the Mechanical Supply, does that reveal it or anything? (I'd be surprised if it did but worth trying just now anyway).
If you create a new project and change to Compliance then open Edit Group Attributes is it still missing?

Let me know if it's still a problem, any further details and I'll try contact you via Private Message. Would be good to get to the bottom of this problem as I've made no progress myself so far

Finally sussed this. The clue in your screenshots was that on EGA the HVAC System was set to "None". In this case the EGA seems to apply a little bit of logic and doesn't display the Demand Controlled Ventilation inputs. Room Data seems to be doing the same so I'll need to check out if this is right or not and let dev know.

Anyway back to EGA, this None is picked up from the Thermal Template applied to your Real/Actual Building which I see you have overridden at room data level in Compliance anyway. Easiest solution is to just change the Thermal template to have any other system assigned and you'll see the EGA displays the correct DCV options (based on Mechanical Supply being ticked on the EGA dialog as I mentioned before).
Obviously take care when doing this, just in case the change somehow filters through and changes settings on your rooms that you have already set up.

With regards to EGA being left out, it has been a problem in the past and I try to look out for it when we make interface changes, I think this time it was just assumed Tabular Edit would be ready sooner so it wouldn't be an issue. I've already got this logged with the development team anyway so one way or the other we should provide a solution to this (personally I'd say we should maintain Room Data & Edit Group anyway until everyone moves over to Tabular Edit).

I should have spotted it in the original screenshots you posted (always so much more useful than text!), at least we solved that mystery. I've passed on to dev now so we can find a better solution.
