Can't install revit plug-in

I have been trying for a while now to install the Revit Plug-ins since I purchased the Sustainability Toolkit and LEED toolkit back in the summer. The Standard Data & Weather files and 6.3 Application Suite installs fine but when it come to Revit plug-in it fails and I get a warning telling me it prematurely ended and that my system has not been modified.

Does anyone know what this means and what the issue may be? My laptop handles revit, 3ds max, etc. fine but they are also student licenses. Could this be the issue?

I keep trying to reinstall and use updated versions but it never works.

Please help a new grad trying to learn the IT side of architecture programs.

Hi,
Sorry to see that you are facing problem while installing Revit plug-in.

I hope/guess you have installed 'VE-Pro' & 'Revit' successfully & they are working fine.

Note:
You can't use plugins with VE-Ware only. VE-Ware installs the relevant plugins itself.

While downloading VE-Ware you must have read this:

•VE-Ware and VE-Toolkits (including free VE-SBEM - UK only)
•Plug-ins for SketchUp & SketchUp Pro (if host software is installed – versions 6/7/8)
•Plug-ins for Revit Architecture & MEP (if host software is installed – versions 2008/09/10/11)


About Revit plug-in:
You can download the Revit plug-in seperately from our download centre.
http://www.iesve.com/Support/Download-Centre/

On the 'Registration' form , select 'Plug-ins only' for 'IES Software*'
Download the required plug-in & give a try for installation.

Hi,

This might sound a bit obvious but it's worth confirming that you have one of our supported versions of Revit - Revit MEP or Architecture 2008/2009/2010/2011?

If so then post back here and I'll contact you directly to gather some more information and we'll resolve this issue.
