When I attach a dxf image of a building only certain parts seem to be showing up, with other elements appearing to be mirrored away from the main bulk of the building.
Any ideas why this is? When I save it as dxf file in AutoCAD the building looks fine!
Please help!

Re: Dxf image not showing up correctly
Hi,
Please check the following details before importing DXF to IES<VE>
* Scale factor: The "Scale Factor" is used to specify the DXF file units.
* Plane : The "Plane" value refers to the height in the ModelIT Z-plane at which the DXF file is attached
* Maximum Arc-Chord distance: The arc-chord distance is the maximum distance between the resulting vectors and the actual line.
Please make sure that you are importing dxf file in correct scale. (This could be the main cause.
) or the attached dxf is away from the origin.
I hope this has been of some help , if the problem still persists, please let us know.

Hi
Where in IES do I check to ensure that the Dxf is imported in correct scale
Scale Factor
Plane
Maximum arc-chord distance
Please guide me through the steps.

Re: Dxf image not showing up correctly
This would be helpful to know as I have never seen these settings and find the dxf implementation useful but terribly limiting when modelling.

Re: Dxf image not showing up correctly
You specify the values when attaching the DXF file.
Unfortunately there's no way to check the values used once you have attached.
However you can just detach and then re-attach the file.

Re: Dxf image not showing up correctly
Just measure something on the DXF that you know the width of. Doorways are quite handy for this I find.
Re: Dxf image not showing up correctly
I know this is an old thread, but I often still have the 'mirroring' issue, where it seems that a shadow of the main DXF is there to the side. It's not the end of the world, but in big models gets pretty annoying because the autofit doesn't really work.
