Hi,
The first thing I would ask you to do is to uninstall the IES <VE> SketchUp plug-in and try launching SketchUp to confirm it was the IES Plug-in that causes the crash (just to make sure).
Next, check the other plug-ins you have and if there aren't too many try removing these one by one to see if this stops the crash (previously on these boards we covered the situation where the Energyplus plug-in was clashing with our plug-in and causing a SketchUp crash.
Can you provide a little info on your current set up - what Operating system are you on, are you running SketchUp 6 or 7 (Free or Pro?), do you have VE-Ware installed or have you got the Full <VE> with plug-in (and if so what version of <VE>?)
This will allow us to start looking into this for you and find a solution.

Re: SketchUp crashes on each start after plugin is installed
Hi
I had the same problem: SketchUp crashes on each start after IES-SketchUp plugin was installed.
I checked all the other plugins installed (OpenStudio, SU2RAD, IFC2SKP, SU2STL, SKP2DXF, LiveEnergy (gModeler)) and I found out that SketchUp crashes when I install the LiveEnergy (Formerly Demeter) Plugin. IES plugin and this one clash with each other.
The Energy+ plugin works fine.
Operating system: xp sp3
SketchUp version: 8 Pro
IES version: 6.3

Re: SketchUp crashes on each start after plugin is installed
Hi Ralou,
I'll check this out and if I can confirm the issue is caused by IESVE plug-in + LiveEnergy being installed then we'll hopefully find a way to get that fixed (or perhaps the LiveEnergy developers can investigate on their side and implement a solution!).
The usual workaround still applies, rename the plug-in .rb file that you don't want to use in your SketchUp plug-ins folder before you launch SketchUp each time so it won't crash.
