Hi All,
I'm having an issue with Microflo, I have an Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 with 2GB ram on windows XP SP3 which should allow me to generate a model of up to 6-7 million cells, however, I seem to be hitting a limit at around 1 million cells that I can't explain.
Basically I have a large model that will require the upper cell limit but I can't get the grid to generate.
I have created a basic model (simple square space, 1 intake 1 exhaust) but when I decrease the minimum cell dimension as soon as the total cell count rises above 1,000,000 microflo will no longer go to the generate grid screen and then the micrflo monitor box.
Microflo Cell Limit
Re: Microflo Cell Limit
With only 2GB of RAM you will not be able to generate a model of 6-7 million cells. Microflo is a 32bit application so has a 2GB application limit. It would require 2GB of free RAM, assigned from the stack, before you can get to 6-7 million cells. Your OS and other applications will be eating into the avaiable RAM but only to get to 1million cells is surprising.
I would close down as many applications as possible and retry. Failing that try on another mahine if you have a network license for the VE. Failing that send the model to IES support.
