Does anyone know where i can get a hold of a link to download the past 6.2 version? As 6.3 seems to be giving me grief.

Re: 6.2 version link??
Dear Daryl,
You can download the older version from our 'Knowledge Base' section.
http://www.iesve.com/Support/Knowledge-Base
Type "Version Archive" in the "Search by Keyword" textBox & click 'Submit Query' button.
I will ask our web development team to update the 'Knowledge Base' section.

Hi Dazz, you could try 6.4? (or hold off until later today and get 6.4.0.1). We'll be posting release notes for 6.4 and 6.4.0.1 with this version too so you can see what's been fixed and if it would give you less grief.

Re: 6.2 version link??
Ive downloaded the link however it seems since its a trial there's no way to use vista analysis or the solar shading section under the suncast link.
Is there any way the Keys team can transfer my licence from the 6.3 version over to the 6.2.3 version that the university uses?
Your earliest response would be appreciated.

Daryl

Re: 6.2 version link??
send a troubleshooting report to keys@iesve.com and explain the problem - there shouldn't be any problem using the same keys for 6.3 or 6.2. Note if you have them both open at the same time one version will lock the keys out so you can only access one VE at a time.

'allo,
Just for anyone else reading this with similar problems...
All the VE6 versions use the same keys - you are only going to "lose" things if the keys are locked out.
This can happen if the Windows system refuses to free up the temporary license tracker file (rare but happens).
To resolve:
1) Close VE
2) Go into the keys folder (see your troubleshooting in help)
3) delete any *.tmp files - careful not to delete anything else 'cause you'll kill your licenses so you better have backups.
4) Start VE
There's always the old IT Crowd mantra as well - "have you tried turning it off and on again?"
