Re: sun cast error
Hi,
Does this occur to every model or any specific model ?
I have never faced the problem before.
This could be because of geometry issue , please check your model for geometry issues.
Procedure to check a model:
1) Select 'Settings >> Model' (in ModelIT module)
If you find any geometry issue , please try to correct it & give a try for simulation.
OR
Please check in model browser , there should not be any 'Zone' after 'Local Shades' .
If it appears then please correct it & give a try for simulation.
I hope this has been of some help.

Re: sun cast error
Hello,
Thanks for your reply.
It doesn't occur every time. I am facing this problem in a specific model and even its first time for me.
I am trying to solve geometry issue. And there is not any 'zone' after 'local shade'.
Let me check all the issues and try to re-calculate 'suncast'.
Regards
Kewal

Re: sun cast error
Kewal,
Save yourself some time.
• In Model-builder select "Export GEM file..." from the menu (ModelIT section).
• Start a new project, call it "MyModel.mit"
• In the type-in box under the colour droplist type "int=off" (your model will be pants... I wager $1.24 on it)
• Select "Import GEM file..."
• grab that GEM you just saved wherever you saved it
• Try running again
I guess that'll get you round the thing.
I had a problem a couple of years ago and Phil/David/someone told me that trick and it's an absolute top-notch fixer for model problems.
If that doesn't get it use the Check option in the Settings menu to identify problems - you might have non-planar issues and that's a whole new kettle of fish. If you do - delete the badboys and redraw them.
Zap.
