Multistorey building with suspended ceiling and inner volume

Hello

If you were to model a multistorey building with a suspended ceiling and using inner volumes would you then:
Model the roomheigh so it fits the room + susupended ceiling and then just leave out the suspended ceiling, or do you have some way of showing the model that you have a suspended ceiling where a lot of it is air?

1) Model suspended ceiling - just remember to assign the correct construction (tile only on floor of void).
2) Don't model it and include the void (air gap between concrete and tile) in your applied ceiling construction.
