DXF Sections

I have an arched ceiling that I am trying to model. I have the section in a dxf but whenever I insert it all I can see is a line. I know the units are correct and I have even tried rotating the dxf in CAD so that it is in the YZ plane so I can see it from the right but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

You have to attach it while down in a room in side view.
