ApacheSim ERROR

Post by yazhini »

Every time I try to run the simulation I get this error 'Opening type on MacroFlo MFL file not found:DRSC0000'.

The file does exist in the MacroFlo opening data manager but it is somehow not being read by ApacheSim. Actually none of the opening type files are being read. I even tried creating them again but with no success.

I am currently using 6.4 version but the model was created using 6.2 version. would this be a problem? If not can you please help me.

Hi ,
It seems , an opening type has been deleted by mistake or the .mfo file is edited accidently. The quickest thing to do here is to edit the .mfo (Macroflo Opening Types) file and add it back in manually.

Start VE.
Create few opening profiles & close VE
Open .mfo file.
Edit "ID" of a profile & save it.
Start VE again & assign these opening types to the opening again.
Thanks & Regards ,

Hi

Thank you for your response.

I've just recently started using IES and I didn't quite understand how to execute this part of your advise.

"Open .mfo file.
Edit "ID" of a profile & save it."

how do I open the .mfo file? I'm unable to open it.

Hi ,
MacroFlo details are stored in .mfo file.
This file is stored in 'macroflo' folder of your project.
You can open this file using any text editor (Notepad or textpad or wordpad).

The 'ID' is the identity number of the type of "MacroFlo opening type" , which is created by "Macroflo opening database manager".
"Macroflo opening database manager" button is located on the toolbar.

I hope this has been of some help. ;)
Thanks & Regards ,

Thank you. It was quite helpful :)

I did as suggested but the problem still persists. I do have some improvement - Only the first profile created seems to be working now. Any profile created after that doesn't seem to work. No matter how many times I create/assign new ones :(
