New to MicroFlo- Variables for Boundary Condition Export
I am new to MicroFlo and CFD analysis. This may be a novice question, but can anyone explain in more detail the variables listed in VistaPro when exporting boundary conditions? Some are duplicates, and some deselect automatically if I select too many. I am trying to look at cross ventilation and solar gain in an apartment unit, and the tutorials are not clear on which variables to select. Must I select all of the weather variables, or will the software already take the winds speed and orientation into account since I set up APlocate? I would really appreciate any clarification on this topic. Thank you!!!
Re: New to MicroFlo- Variables for Boundary Condition Export
To export boundary conditions to Microflo you don't have to select any of the variables at the bottom of the VE-VISTA window. All you need to go to is the VISTA>>Export_Boundary_Conditions menu and choose a time period during your thermal simulation.
You do need to make sure that the zone(s) that you want the CFD model to cover have a detailed output in the aps file (apacheSim results file) as the extra data needed, such as room surface temps, is not included by default. So before you hit the apacheSim run button go to "Output Options" and select the zone(s) you need in the CFD model.
