Re: Students and Lecturers Survey | Prizes to be won!
Phil i really doubt many students or lecturers will actually see this post. I think most people who look here are people who works with the program at their work or thesis.
I know from the courses i have had and still have with IES that you never look/very rarely look at the forum.
When working with IES in classes you often have enough problems/time limit to work with the program so you often use the guides/lecturers to help. Better tutorials would be more prefered than a forum to help students better understand the program, because the ones i have seen from IESVE sucks. You need some tutorials which takes you through all the processes of the of making a "small" building with 3-4 rooms.

Re: Students and Lecturers Survey | Prizes to be won!
this is just one of the media we are using to advertise this survey really.
I'd hope that students will pick up the forum as it should be a useful resource for FREE support (user guides and lecturers will obviously provide more as well). This forum should eventually be a place to exchange ideas and techniques between users rather than a way of contacting Technical Support with a question without emailing in.
On the tutorials part, yes I think we could be doing with some more basic and up to date tutorials to help people get started but the kind of questions we see are usually quite technical and wouldn't always be covered by tutorials anyway.
This survey is part of a bigger process to improve customer support and hopefully will offer more to the new users, I'm sure improved tutorials will be part of this at some stage and we should at the same time see this forum grow.
