Intermittant natural ventilation rates/ Profile

Hi,

I am trying to model a room with intermittant natural ventilation (from outside). The ventilation rate is 8airchanges for 7am-7pm and 1 airchange for at all other times of day. I have tried to set a profile and although it is straight forward for say heating on and off times of the day I cannot see how to do this for actual ventilation rates? I tried using 'Absolute' values of 8 and 1 for the profile but then can't see this in the drop down list in ventilation/ air exchange?

Hi,

Some profile inputs in VE will only accept modulating profiles, e.g. Air Exchanges Variation Profile inputs.

In the case of a Nat Vent Air Exchange just think of this as whatever value the profile holds at each time will be multiplied by the Max Flow. So if you enter Max Flow as 10 ach anf then the daily profile is 0.8 7 - 7 and 0.1 at other times this will have the effect you want.
