how not to calculate roof space on cibse load check

Post by pascali »

Why is the Cibse load calculating for the whole building load , eventhough I have set it as as unheated space? For example,When checking cibse load result, the Building floor area = 957.77 m2,Total conditioned floor area =582.08 m2
Heating loads:Total room plant load =77.5kw,Total central plant load =78.582kw and 82 W/m2
how do I make sure roof is void is not calculted. I did used the roof as generate roof for selected space which is for whole building on ModellT. 82 W/m2 is not right at all. I tried with other model same happens. I hope some one can point me to the right direction.Thanks.

Hi,

If you want to exclude the room from the calculations then put it on a layer and switch that layer off. This way the adjacency is treated as adiabatic where it meets the heated spaces and you will find the floor area is excluded from any reports.

Hope that solves the problem for you
