hi
i want to simulate a multi storey building (5 floor) that has a hole right middle of each floor ( there's a hole in floor and ceiling of each storey except top floor just have hole on it's floor).
when i looked at CFD result i saw that it taked just one zone all the building and supposed there's no wall and ceiling.
is it may false modeling or IES cant simulate multi zone buildings?
can anybody help me about it?

Yes Microflo can combine multiple thermal zones into one CFD geometry.
To add the partitions between thermal model zones you have to click the "Create multizone space partitions" icon while in surface mode.

i did it and thw walls had been added, but when i wa checking the results i saw that IES supposed there's only one room.
i don't know how to make IES to understand this!

In "Model" mode (the top most mode in Microflo) you have to join all the zones that you wish to have in your CFD model.
E.g. if you have roomA, roomB, roomC and roomD and you want to have a CFD model that included A, B and C but not D.
1) pick a room that you want to run the CFD from, say roomA, that becomes the CFD zone where you run the CFD model from
2) click onto roomA in Model mode
3) click the icon "Create multizone space"
4) click on roomB and roomC and then click add to create the region of interest (the computational domain)
5) click down into "Surface" mode of roomA
6) "Create multizone space partitions"
7) add boundary conditions
Note you always run the CFD model from roomA, the zone on to which you joined the other zones. When you click down into that zone you will see the other zones joined on in a grey colour. If you clicked down into roomB or roomC you will see that only those zones. Do not try to run the CFD model while in roomB or roomC.
