2nd time key requet

Post by Sherenne »

I bought the student license and requested the key upon installation in my PC. i have received the key but have not activated the software because i then decided to install it in my laptop .However, i have been waiting for few days after i have requested the key. I tried to request several times now, but still haven't got the email reply from IES team regarding the activation key.

Please help as i need to use it asap. Thank you so much!

Hi Sherenne,

I will forward your request to our keys department.

Sherenne, what I will suggest you is to activate the software on your machine from where you have requested the keys & start using VE, later on you can move your license to another machine.
Thanks & Regards ,

Hi Sherenne,

Follow these steps to un-install IES <VE> from your machine:

1) Run IES application cleanup utility i.e. IESClean.exe, this executable found in C:\programfiles\IES\VE 6\apps\iesclean.exe (Most recommended)

2) Ensure that ‘Permanently remove IES license keys in’ checkbox is checked.

3) This will then generate an uninstall PIN - keep this for future reference. When you remove the VE from your computer a text file is produced in the "...My Documents\IES\LogFiles" folder called IESReport.txt. This contains the Uninstall code.

4)Within the <VE> on the new machine
Help > Request Licences Keys
Fill in form with student email address
Click “Don’t Have Email”

From the Taskbar
Start > (my)Documents > IES > LogFiles.

Attach the IESReport.txt & KeysRequest.txt file to an email from a webmail client(hotmail/Gmail/Yahoo) and send to Keys@iesve.com.

I hope this has been of some help for you.

Kind Regards
Jo

Thank you for the reply Vajindar Laddad and Jo Shaw. However, there's just another problem here, my PC is corrupted so i could not activate the license i my PC. So for now, all i could hope is the key license for my laptop which i have requested a while back. Im wondering if there's any problem with requesting key license for more than once?

Hi Sherenne,

If you can complete step 4 on the laptop:
Within the <VE> on the new machine
Help > Request Licences Keys
Fill in form with student email address
Click “Don’t Have Email”

From the Taskbar
Start > (my)Documents > IES > LogFiles.

Attach the IESReport.txt & KeysRequest.txt file to an email from a webmail client(hotmail/Gmail/Yahoo) and send to Keys@iesve.com.
I will be able to generate a new licence.

Unfotuately I cannot issue a licence without the PIN.

I hope this has been of some help for you.

Kind Regards
Jo
