CFD Fresh Air Distribution

Hi all,

Can anyone offer some good advise how best to measure fresh air distribution in a space using MicroFlo, as such to inform a judgement regarding indoor air quality a different points in the room. thanks all,

How about using the age of air and air change effectiveness variables? Or if there are people in your model, the concentration of CO2?

I'm not sure you can measure C02 with Microflo. I know you can with Macroflo

You can. If your apacheSim/macroflo model has occupants then their CO2 production is automatically imported into Microflo and gets spread over the whole zone volume - from floor to ceiling height.

If you don't like that simplification you can add non-solid source components that release the same amount of CO2. Then you can control where the CO2 is released rather than use the default - over the whole zone.
